The number of blogs and websites is now countless. New websites start every minute on countless topics. Authors wake up daily to help others’ everyday lives with their new ideas and inspirations. They do this selflessly, sacrificing their own time for the goal. One sentence of theirs propels someone’s entire life to a higher level. Let there be recognition for them! Therefore they deserve reciprocation for their work. A custom mobile app can help with revenue generation. I write about the “HOW” in my article.
As a preamble, I throw in the saying characteristic of the internet today: the phenomenon of dense pennies, rare forints. Followers often, in small amounts, and gladly sacrifice to their favorite author, community. This is the solution to the above sentence. Following the principle of reciprocity, small communities want to give back to the content creator.
The principle of reciprocity: payment is due for free content
Continuing the above train of thought, if your content is good on a page, there will surely be those who would gladly pay for the content. In vain is everything free on the Internet. This simply stems from the fact that different things speak to everyone. Different is how you package your contents. Your message that you want to convey is more appealing. Often you save yourself a lot of time if you buy the material of someone who is at home in the topic and shows you well collected the cure for a problem.
Sell digital content
There are many forms of products that have value. Music, photos, videos are very popular and in demand. They don’t need to be wrapped in paper to reach many buyers. Saving these costs, you can also give cheaper and better quality.
Online courses
In recent years, the number of course materials purchasable on the internet has accelerated. There are very many free ones on YouTube, Udemy, Teachable platforms. There are universities’ MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) materials. Today we learn much more specifically online. We skip the frills and pick together our knowledge concentrated from narrow topics.
Often we don’t learn at school desks but on buses, lying in bed before falling asleep, while having breakfast.
Paid membership
There are periods when the power of communities appreciates, and we even organize online meetings. A team with common interest comes together more easily and faster. If there’s already a well-established free page around which an FB group has organized, then featured content, education, membership can be offered to them. This is good for everyone, because again, members can get higher quality content. Besides, as a natural filter, those will join who have more serious goals in life. A premium membership is essential for this.
A good example of paid membership is the Mentor Club founded by Zoltán Dallos. This is a VIP group of goal-oriented freelancers and aspiring entrepreneurs where you get support, motivation, and help to realize your dreams.
What is a custom mobile app capable of?
A custom mobile app designed with a community approach makes it easier to keep in touch with your content consumers. It gives a completely different experience when they ask you more simply. What a good feeling when you see that your own page lives on its own with the active contribution of many participants.
It’s undeniable that today a mobile app is more attractive to the younger age group (“Mobile first!” trend) than contact on websites.
Payment is simpler, as you don’t have to leave the app for it. Multiple service providers can be introduced in an application. With convenience features, providing payment data is simpler, keeping security in mind. E.g., after fingerprint identification, it fills in the bank card number, expiration date.
Content loads faster, even without internet. We can save an interesting article, post for later. We can even set a notification about this if we forget about it.
Content is easier to share. On the phone, we can choose from many pre-installed applications which one we want to share in.
Let’s admit everyone’s mailbox is already full of emails. In vain do 10-15 newsletters drop in daily, we’re already immune to them. Instead, a Push notification immediately triggers a reaction and the reader opens our content. This must be handled carefully because it’s very disturbing. The application must provide an option for what content they request notification about. When the user makes this setting, we also get to know their needs better. We can better target with our contents. Win-win situation!
I’ve already written earlier about further advantages of a mobile app.
Does my current website also know all this?
As a beginning blogger, perhaps you also start with a WordPress page. The good news is that many extensions are available for it, with which not only will your website be top, but a mobile application can also utilize the possibilities.
With a few smaller settings, a Trabant can be turned into a Porsche.
There are both free and paid extensions. It’s worth spending some on it to get what you expect, not a compromise solution. After all, if you manage to create or increase a revenue channel, it will pay off.
A well-set website is already half success. For this, a good plan is needed, a list of what should be included among your custom mobile app’s functions. Today it’s no longer an obstacle if you think in both Android and iOS versions. There are very good developer solutions for this that save your wallet, keeping quality.
